The Joan Nicole Prince Home located in Scotia, NY
The Joan Nicole Prince Home provides 24 hour bedside (end of life) care for two residents at a time in a homelike environment. It is staffed primarily by volunteers and the care provided consists of laundry, meals, personal care, cleaning and support to our residents and their families. The Home collaborates with Hospice who provides the medical management for the patients as they do for anyone receiving hospice care in their own home environment. The volunteers and staff of the JNP Home become the “surrogate family” for residents.
American Cancer Society's Hope Club in Latham, NY
The Hope Club is a support community for anyone whose life has been touched by cancer. There is no cost to become a member and all services and programs are free. The HopeClub name reflects the "hope" that the American Cancer Society shares every day for a world with less cancer and a "club" atmosphere that welcomes everyone.
HopeClub offers professionally led support groups, the full range of American Cancer Society signature programs, and social gatherings designed to maintain and foster a unique sense of community.
Troy High School Scholarship Fund in honor of our namesake, Dee Germano: Given to a top student entering the medical or nursing field; In addition to having a passion for academics, he or she will demonstrate a high level of social awareness, kindness and empathy towards others.
